On December 25th the admirers of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera will be introduced to unique musical night. The rarely played Christmas music of Bach, Charpentier, Daquin, Briccialdi will be performed. For certain, the concert will not be performed without music of the most new-year ballet – the orchestral suite of Pyotr Tchaikovsky from the ballet "The Nutcracker". For more than three hundred years, this music proclaims the Christmas, the most wonderful holiday, coming. Moreover, the concert program includes masterpieces of foreign vocal and instrumental music of Bach. Bright and festive chorale "Adeste Fideles" will finish the concert. This well-known piece from the XVIII century is still the most popular Christmas anthem nowadays.
The soloists, the choir, and the orchestra of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera will take part in the concert. The conductor is Robert Luther.
